Meeting

at the Watering Hole

stories of the land in all difficult places must be listened to

I will sojourn to the Parque Natural Sierra María in the Iberian peninsula…

an arid zone struggling against the combined forces of climate change, global markets and land degradation,

to listen deeply to the land and collaborate with other artists and land materials

Joya Arte + Ecologia / AIR, Jan 2025

Photo is taken from the jumping off place… the Coastal Douglas Fir bio-geo-climatic zone where the Pentlatch tribe of the Coast Salish First Nation lived lightly on the land and harvested flora and fauna to satisfy their needs seasonally for nine months of the year.
